Each lesson is carefully designed to build a strong foundation in reading through explicit, systematic instruction. Lessons take approximately 10–15 minutes and can be taught over two to three days, depending on your learners' needs. They are intended to be teacher-led or guided by an adult and are not designed for independent learning.
The lessons follow a carefully planned sequence, with each one building on previously taught skills through purposeful review and practice. For the best learning outcomes, teach the lessons in order rather than skipping ahead. This progression helps students develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to become successful readers.

What We Will Learn: In this unit, we will learn the letters G, B, E, K, H, and R, along with the sounds they spell. We will also learn how to use the high-frequency words said, to and do. We will practice blending sounds to read simple CVC, CVCC, and CCVC words. We will also practice reading short phrases and sentences, building confidence and fluency as we go.
What We Will Learn: In this unit, we will learn the letters L, W, J, Y, X, and V, along with the sounds they spell. We will also learn how to use the high-frequency words of, from and was. We will practice blending sounds to read simple CVC, CVCC, and CCVC words. We will also practice reading short phrases and sentences, building confidence and fluency as we go.
What We Will Learn: In this unit, we will learn the letters Z and Q as well as the digraphs qu, ck, sh, ch, and th, along with the sounds they spell. In addition, we will learn how to read and use the high-frequency words you, are, and have. We will practice blending sounds to read simple words, and we will read short phrases and sentences to build confidence and fluency along the way.
